Dan Cascarano, CAIA
Director, US Institutional & Private Markets
Dan Cascarano is Director, Institutional & Private Markets for Thornburg Investment Management. Prior to joining Thornburg in July 2025, Dan was a senior director at Aegon Asset Management focused on institutional relations. He was responsible for building the firm’s private market presence across Corporate and Public Pensions, Endowment/Foundations, and other large strategic relationships. He was also a principal at Hamilton Lane, one of the largest private market asset management firms globally. Before Hamilton Lane, he helped build the Institutional Relations and National Accounts Group at 361 Capital.
Dan earned a BA from The University of St. Thomas and holds the Chartered Alternatives Investment Analyst designation (CAIA). When not working, he enjoys mountain biking, dirt biking, skiing and golfing in his home state of Colorado.
